What is the process of getting qualified for a breast pump? 1. Fill out the insurance information form with your personal and insurance information...THAT'S IT FOR YOU! 2. Brilliant! Medical Boutique will contact your insurance company to verify coverage and reimbursement. 3. Brilliant! Medical Boutique will then get a script from your doctor's office. Then we'll contact you and discuss all your options.
Why are breast pumps covered now? As of the first of 2013 the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires private insurances to cover breast pumps. While the ACA covers all parts of healthcare, breast pump coverage is one of the biggest changes.
How much will I have to pay and how much will insurance cover? Depending on your insurance plan, your coverage can be up to 100% of the amount of the pump. Fill out the form to find out.
When will I get my breast pump? Again, this is somewhat determined by your insurance company. Some insurance companies require the baby to be born BEFORE the breast pump can be delivered or picked up. There are some plans that allow you to get a pump delivered before the baby is born.
Will Medicaid cover my breast pump? Medicaid does cover breast pumps, but not always. In most cases, however, we have been able to bill Medicaid for a breast pump.
